Weybread Club Pit July 28th 2001

Highest turnout for ten years

Scorching sunshine and clear skies brought the biggest turn out for over ten years to this annual junior event, as 20 eager youngsters lined the banks of Weybread Club Pit. Winner

Winner Kyle Savage Kyle drew island peg seven and fished his favorite method, waggler fished floating dog biscuit. He started well catching one good carp, and losing another in the first half hour, after the initial rush he then had to endure a two hour blank spell, watching others around him slowly chip away at his early lead. Kyle stuck to his method and his patience paid off when he took two more carp in the last thirty minutes to finish with 9lb 5oz and a convincing win.
