I had two days practice on the Venue and caught well, fortunately I drew a peg where I had fished in practice, so I knew what tactics I needed. I had a brilliant start and netted three Carp the biggest about six pound before anyone else had caught anything. I then missed three bites before the Carp came to the surface to feed and I tempted two more with floating dog biscuits. By this time I could sense the crowd behind me , I could scarcely believe my eyes when I glanced back to see a crowd of over two hundred, all who applauded me at the end. I shall spend most of the money on some important items of new fishing gear. "
