Middle Pit Fourth Round

Eleven anglers turned up to enjoy the sunny weather, a light south west wind ensured plenty of bites for everyone.


Winner

Kyle runner up the week previous went one better and produced the top weight of the season, a whopping 30lb 6oz of quality carp up to 8lb 2oz. Kyle drew flyer peg 2 on the car park and never looked back, taking carp as fast as he could land them on floating chum mixers.


Second Place

Swapping places with Kyle runner up Daniel Elliott caught a very respectable weight of 17lb 6oz from peg 11. Daniel again loosefed caster tight in to the margin cover and pole fished over top with caster and pellet hookbaits, to take five commons and some small fish.


James Bygrave filled third place with two good carp taken on floating chum mixers from shallow peg 22.


Golden Maggot Award

Christopher Tricker (left) won the Golden Maggot with an exellent 6lb 4oz of small fish taken from corner peg 27. Eight species of fish were taken on maggot hookbaits fished on a four metre whip, feeding small nuggets of groundbait each time bites tailed off.
