The massive Ocean Pit at Weybread was the venue for the final competition of Harleston Junior Angling Club's summer series. The three-hour competition fished on the "road bank" attracted fourteen anglers to near perfect weather conditions.

Philip Shulver finished second after a blistering start.Ricky Leggett was crowned Junior Club Champion, finishing his final season as a junior with a winning the final match to cement his position at the top of the league with seventy eight points, consisting of two wins and two second place finishes. Ricky produced an excellent performance from peg five, after suffering a slow start he soon got into his rhythm to claw back Philip Shulver's early lead on his favourite waggler and maggot tactic fished shallow, to land Roach and Perch for a match winning 4lb 5oz catch.

Philip Shulver made sure Ricky was pushed hard for his win finishing just seven ounces behind. Philip set a blistering pace at the start bagging small skimmers and Roach on pole fished maggots presented at eight metres before the fish dried up late in the match leaving him just short at the finish with 3lb 14oz. Philips excellent result pushed him up to a well-earned third place in the league with 71 points.

Jack Weatherley the league leader for the fist four weeks finally ran out of steam to finish as bridesmaid for the second consecutive season with 73 points after finishing in third place from peg seven. Jack needed to win this final competition to stand any chance of winning the league, he started with a vengeance landing small Roach and Skimmers on the pole to forge ahead, neck and neck with Philip before suffering the same fate as the fish moved out leaving him five ounces behind 3lb 9oz.

Four times club champion Daniel Elliott finished fourth with 3lb 4oz of quality roach with individual specimens topping eight ounces on pole fished maggot over ground bait from peg sixteen in the reeds. His solid performance pushes him up to fifth place in the final league.
