Weybread Middle Pit, Round Six of the Harleston Junior Angling Club's summer series.
Daniel finished the season in style netting a huge 57lb 7oz to beat the nearest challenger on the night Thomas Sage by a massive 46lb margin. Daniel drew peg 11 on the Heath-house bank one of the lakes noted carp pegs and started slowly on the method feeder while steadily building his second line of attack with a constant stream of Pedigree chum mixers. Once the fish had settled on his feed a change to surface fished dog biscuit fished on a waggler rig saw a steady stream of fish come to the net including some real specimens into double figures, by the final whistle he had netted seven carp and one small bream. Second placed Thomas Sage fished the method feeder with pellet hook baits from peg 17 casting to the middle of the lake to land seven smaller carp for a 20lb 2oz total well clear of Kieron Loane on the next peg this second place finish also pushed him up to fourth in the league with 68 points. Kieron Loane finished a poor season by his standards with a well earned third place again fishing the method feeder with pellet to land two carp for 13lb including a lovely 8lb fully scaled mirror carp. Fourth place was a family affair with Gavin Woodward squeezing out younger brother Travis with a bag of small carp, bream and crucians weighing 11lb 8oz and fifth place in the table with 67 points. Travis fell just short with 9lb 12oz of carp on the method feeder. Many thanks to all the parents who help and support the Angling Club and to all the kids who turn out in all weathers to make these competitions such a success also thanks to Waveney Angling in Harleston for its support and prize donations.
