Club Pit Round Five

Eleven rather mad kids turned up to do battle with the strong North winds and driving rain storms. With comfort a priority all the pegs with some shelter were thrown into the hat.Despite the conditions the fish went on a feeding frenzy producing a close exciting match.


Winner

Daniel Gallant on peg 30 took small commons and crucian carp regularly all match on float fished pellets to finish with 19lb 6oz, and record his first ever match win.


Runner Up

Daniel Elliott had a 10lb 3oz carp to thank for most of his runners up weight, he added two smaller commons and some small fish for 17lb 12oz. All his fish were taken "down the edge" on pole fished caster and pellets over loosefed caster.


Third

Nine year old Keiron Loane under the watchful eye of his grandad took a mixed bag of crucians, commons and roach with a bonus mirror to finish the frame with 16lb 8oz.


Kieron also tied with Daniel Hines for the Golden Maggot, then lost the tiebreaker to give Daniel his third £5 prize.

Second placed Daniel Elliott had this 10lb 3oz carp to take an early lead.
