Harleston Junior Angling Club's luck with the weather finally ran out in this latest fixture held in the Bottle Pit at Weybread. The ten keen competitors were greeted with an ominous slate grey sky, and shortly after the start the downpour began forcing some of the younger competitors into an early bath after a long cold shower, the only thing left dry was the keepnet.

Caden Spooner with his seven pound Bream. This Bottle Pit is a club owned water and offers some of the best Tench fishing in the country at the moment with huge shoals of quality fish hungry after spawning featuring in 100lb plus pleasure catches.

Travis Woodward followed up his third place in round one with a fine victory topping a three-man battle for top spot and the all important league points. Travis drew peg 30 and opted to fish pole and pellet tight to the margin lilies' a method perfected during some midweek practice sessions, feeding lightly with pellet and fishing expander on the hook Travis was soon battling a steady stream of fighting fit Tench a good run late on saw him land four big fish in quick succession to push himself clear of the pack with an excellent 34lb 8oz a personal best Tench catch as a bonus.

Caden Spooner produced another excellent performance again putting some midweek practice to good use with another fine catch of Tench topped off with a massive 7lb Bream pushing him up to second place with 26lb and top of the league after his winning start to the season. Caden opted to fish pole at nine metres presenting pellet just above the weed and loose feeding pellet over top to tempt the fish out of the weed.

Oliver Elton with his 5lb 8oz Tench.Ten-year-old Oliver Elton continued his good form with a 20lb 6oz all Tench catch including a personal best monster of 5lb 8oz. Oliver kept thing simple fishing six metres of pole to hand and caught on expander pellet, with loose fed pellet keeping the fish in range. Oliver now moves to a well-deserved third place after two rounds.

Jake Morton finished fourth from peg 32 a 10lb 6oz mixed Tench and Rudd catch taken close to the reeds with pole fished maggot just enough to pip Nathan English who finished with a level 10lb of Tench.
