Speed was the name of the game as Harleston Junior Angling Club's summer series switched venue to the prolific Rudd filled Halls Pit. This small reed lined lake is teaming with tiny Rudd averaging less than an ounce with very few bonus fish so tactically it was a straight race to catch the quickest.

Edward Howman with his second placed catch.Rob King clinched his first victory at the club with an excellent performance landing well over a hundred fish in just three hours fishing. Unlike the rest of the field Rob decided not to fish the whip but to short line for the better presentation it offers and the higher bite to fish ratio, he fished at just four metres over the margin weed with a single maggot hookbait on a small size twenty hook landing small Rudd every cast to finish with a level 5lbs. Rob now moves to second place in the Championship level on points with league leader Daniel Elliott.

Edward Howman moved to within two points of the leaders with another solid performance fishing the whip shallow to finish just six ounces behind Rob with an all Rudd weight of 4lb 10oz.

League Leader Daniel Elliott with his third placed catch 4lb 9oz of Rudd.Daniel Elliott finished just one ounce behind with another whip caught bag of Rudd weighing 4lb 9oz just enough to hold on to the Championship top spot on weight advantage.

Jack Weatherley finished fourth with 3lb 13oz.
