Club Venues : Lucks Mill. |
Weybread Mill Upstream.
Walk straight down the marsh to the river, Weybread Mill is at the downstream end and club control runs upstream, all the marshes are all joined near to the river by small footbridges when you run out of bridges it's the end of club water.
Tactics and pegs- This stretch is hardly ever fished but there are some good fish to be caught. During the summer find a clear run in the weed and you will catch roach and perch but don't expect big bags. Hemp is the no1 roach bait but caster is well worth a go and you may land a bonus tench, chopped worm if you have any is another good bait for big bonus perch and tench. Hot pegs are just above the trees opposite the by-pass and behind the pallet yard. Keep out of the trees they look nice and are clear of weed sadly of fish as well. Once Autumn arrives the fish shoal up in the first three pegs above the mill, there are also a few bonus chub around this area. |
